Slow and Boring

Today is a slow day at work. It is Friday, and next week is the 4th of July. Lots of people have Monday off, but I don't. Actually this might be the first year that I have the 4th off -- definately the first year that I don't work, and still get paid. I don't really have any plans this weekend, except meet with Chie and Ambry.

Yesterday I worked all day, for the second day in a row. It was slow at both jobs, but I still wasn't able to finish at the restaurant until after 10:30. It was a long shift and my feet were hurting afterwards. When I got home, I called Yuka, then I remembered that I needed to call Amy and Kelly - it's their birthday!! I called, but no answer, so I just left a message. I hope they had a good time.

I think that I will go home and take a nap after work today. Later.....I don't know.

My back is killin' me

In about an hour, I will go to HPER and play raquetball with Yuka. This will be fun. I haven't ever worked out over my lunch break before, but I am planning on starting. I was going to yesterday, but Yuka needed to talk - she had some crappy news from Kana. Anyways....

After work on Tuesday, I picked Yuka up and headed to my apartment. We hung out for a little bit, then cooked dinner. I made a chicken casserole-like dish topped with biscuits. I also made a quick salad. After we ate, we decided to go for a walk. We drove to the Biltmore apartments (very nice!) and walked on the Big Papio Trail. We walked from Blondo to Pacific St and back. It was a lot of fun. It was already late by the time we finished, so I took Yuka back to her apartment, then went to bed.

Yesterday, I worked all day, from 7:30 in the morning until 10:00 at night. Yuka brought me the unhappy news over lunch break, but by the end of the day, things looked better (no thanks to Kana). After I finished at the restaurant, I had a beer while talking to Jen and Laura, then went home and slept. I have work all day again today...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY & KELLY!!!!!!!!!!!

Sleepy.... and for no reason this time....

Today I am kind of sleepy, and I don't know why. Yesterday I was kind of busy, but I went to bed early - about 10:00. I think I am tired because it is boring here at work. Oh well.... I am taking lunch early and I should be busy afterwards.

Yesterday I worked in the morning, after about 5 hours of sleep. I wasn't very tired during the day, but by nighttime I was. After work, I picked Yuka up from her job and went to my apartment. We hung out for a little and then we played tennis. She is getting really good. I am glad we don't keep score because I think I might lose. Afterwards we went to Camille's and ate some wraps. They were ok, and the place has kind of a nice, chill atmosphere. I took Yuka home and went back my my apartment where I watched the Batman Begins movie for about an hour. Then I fell asleep.

Today, I don't know what I will do, but hopefully it will be fun. Until then, take a look at the picture I found......

Tired from the busy weekend

Hidey-Ho, Everybody........

Well ..... I had a long weekend, but it was fun. First I left work early to get presents ready for Yuka, but on the way to my car, I noticed my plates were expired. I went to the DMV, but I realized that I didn't have my checkbook with me. I stopped at home, picked it up, then I waited in line for about an hour. Afterwards I got everythig ready and went to Yuka's apartment at about 7:30. We opened presents -- I gave her a necklace, jewelrybox, and photo frame / album. She really liked it, I think. She gave me a grill and two bars for my tongue pierce. Later, we went to Shag with Sumii-san and her friend, Iku. When we left the bar, everyone wanted to go to Adult Emporium, so we took a trip to Council Bluffs. I bought a magazine and a DVD.

On Saturday, I had a big day planned, but first I needed to do laundry and clean my apartment. Yuka came with me, and we ended up playing tennis for over an hour (I won!!!!). When it was starting to get late, we headed back to her apartment where I cooked us some dinner. It was a mean dish of chicken scalopini-marsala. Tasted great, and Yuka made the side dishes. After that, I suprized her by taking her to the Melting Pot for dessert. It is soooooo good, but tooooo much chocolate. We ate so much that we could hardly move. We were planning on going either dancing or to a comedy show, but we were too full to do anything, so we went home and watched a movie on TV. It was kind of relaxing.

The next day we decided to have a BBQ and try out the new grill. In the morning we returned to my apartment and put the grill together. It wasn't too difficult, but it still took about 45 minutes. After that, we headed to my parents house, then to both of my grandmothers' places. I haven't seen either of them for a long time, so it was good to go. One of my grandmas thought that Yuka was Miwa (my ex). She kept saying something like "Oh, you haven't changed one bit" and "You look like you never left". It was kind of funny but I felt bad for Yuka. After that I went shopping for the BBQ party and spent almost $100 on food and gas for the grill. We came home, and cleaned up and rested a little, then started getting ready. Everyone started arriving around 7:45. I thought there would only be a few people, maybe four, but people just kept showing up. By the end, Yuka, Sumii-san, Iku, Mason, Chie, Yon, Ambry and her friend, Fumi, Ichiro, and Genki-kun all showed up. Most people wouldn't leave until after midnight when I finally kicked them out.

Now I am kind of tired, but I kind of want to play tennis. It sounds fun right now, but we shall see how I am feeling after work.

Mr. Hankey, The Christmas Poo...

Just another boring day at work.....

Yesterday was kind of fun. I went to work in the morning, and afterwards I had several appointments. First, I went to the bank to make a car payment. It is expensive, but I like driving better than walking. Then I had a doctor's appointment at the clinic. I am participating in a research study, and I get paid to go. Last time - about a week ago - they gave me a vaccine, and this whole week I have had to call and make a phone recording about how I am feeling. Yesterday I went there and they drew blood. Normally it isn't too bad, but my arm was still sore from last week, and it really hurt. They also took a TON of blood. After that, I went to my apartment to eat a sandwich, then to Yuka's.

I picked her up, and we went back to my apartment where we played tennis in the 95 degree heat. It was really fun. I like playing tennis in the heat because you feel sooo good after you finish. We hung out for a little bit, then went to Kohl's. I bought a workout shirt, and Yuka got some workout clothes, too.

Today I am working allllllllllll day.

Latez.....

Hello Everybody......

Sorry that I haven't written in a while, but I have been really busy at work. I had no free time there, plus I couldn't write at home because my computer was broken. I finally fixed my computer - in the end I needed to buy a new AC adapter, new wireless network card, and a SD Card reader (so I can download photos from my camera). My computer was up and running last week, then Yuka had a huge problem, so I was helping with that. Everything is finally calming down now, so I have time to write.

Two weeks ago Yuka and I went to my cabin with several other people. We had a lot of fun, but we had to come back early because of trouble at Yuka's apartment. On Saturday, we went to the Taste of Omaha (it was really good) which reminded me of Japan, then we returned to the cabin for another day. That was a fun weekend (except for the troubles).

Last weekend we didn't do anything. There was soooo much stuff going on that I just stayed home and watched the world cup. Friday Yuka, Chie, Chie's friends and I went to Hiro's for some cheap, tasty sushi. I really like sushi, but I can't eat too much. The next day, we didn't even really go out. We went to Borders, and I bought a new book. Battle Royale!! I love the movie, but I didn't know it was originally a book. I know there are comics out there, but I am not really interested in them. The book is great, but it is a little different from the movie.

Yesterday I went to Oakview Mall with Sumii-san. We were shopping for my anniversary gift for Yuka. We finally got it (after 2 weeks of shopping), and now I am finished!!!! I am getting her 3 different gifts...... I hope she likes them all!! Our anniversery is this weekend, so that should be fun.

I hope everyone is having a great summer!! Congratulations to Seika!

Dou Suru? Aifuru -- aifuru desu!

I wrote this on Friday, so read on folks..read on.....

Whats doin', folks? Work is really slow right now, so I thought I'd add another update to the strange and mysterious story that is my life. Yesterday, I didn't do anything fun. I worked during the day, then went home. I slept for about 20 minutes, but then I needed to go to my other job. Worked there until about 10 and came home.

I guess that a bunch of stuff happened last night after the limo ride. Here is what I heard: Everyone went to a party at Kassie's apartment, but Chad and Shawn (roommates) went home to sleep. Later that night, people thought to go to Chad's apartment to wake him up, but when they got there, the door was unlocked. They played a joke on them because they were sleeping and covered everything in plastic-wrap. EVERYTHING!!! That's really funny. I guess a little later, a neighbor called the cops, and they showed up. Then the police talked to the apartment company, and Chad and Shawn are getting kicked out. That sucks, but they don't care much. They want to get a house anyway.

Need sleep......

Today I am really tired. Do you remember last time, when I said I was going on a limo ride? Well... I did. Until about midnight. And I drank a lot. And this morning I woke up at 6:00 AM....
The whole night was a lot of fun! We started at about 8:00 (because everyone showed up late!). There were about 16 of us, piled into a huge stretch limo (it was white). We all started drinking. Several people brought beer, including my boss, who gave us about 2 cases. We first went to the Melting Pot, where we ate chocolate fondue for dessert. It was GREAT!!! Our server gave us 4 or 5 kettles of chocolate, 2 of them he lit on fire, and the rest had Yin-Yang symbols made out of white and dark chocolate. I also met the manager, who I used to know a long time ago. I trained him when I was working at Chili's.

Soon, it was time for a ride (and more beer!!) to another pace - Dave & Busters! We went in and ordered really fast because we were already late. Everyone got a round of drinks courtisy of Rob (The Bossman), and we got lots of different appetizers. We left in a big hurry and went to Old Chicago, drinking on the way. By the time we got to the new restaurant, the pizzas were already finished. We all ordered more drinks and ate, then we left.

We came back to my restaurant a little after 11, where we hung out in the parking lot and drank more of the beer that Rob provided. All-in-all it was a really fun night. I took pictures and will post them, but not right now (computer is still broken).

Today I work all day, from 7:30AM to 9:30 PM. Sucks!

Havin Fun in the Sun

Today I get to ride a limo! I am kind of excited... At the restaurant, we have had a contest for the past couple of months, and my team won. The restaurant is paying for a limo to take the team out for a night on the town. It should be great, but I will probably leave early. I need to sleep, so I can go to work in the morning.

Yesterday, I worked... I thought that it would be busy, but I ended up being bored. After work, I picked Yuka up from her job and went home. We hung out for a little bit (Yuka fell asleep!!) and then went shopping. We came home and made dinner, something called "picadillo." It was good, but kind of strange. The ingredients are: beef, onion, jalapeno, garlic, green olives, apple, raisins, cinnamon and more!! Very strange combination, but it ended up ok. I also added some limes because the taste ended up being kind of plain. It still wasn't enough, though. The dish still needed more flavor.

Ok. I have to go now. I'll see everyone later.......
