Yet Another Interview......

Today I had another interview. I really hope I get this job, and it sounds like I have a chance. Not a big chance, but better than most of the other jobs I have applied for. The interview was really long, over an hour, and I was exhausted by the end. I knew 2 of the 3 interviewers, so that's a bonus. Afterwards, I met Yuka and returned to my apartment. We watched TV, and I fell asleep.

On Sunday Yuka and I went to a party for my work. It was a lot of fun. We drank a lot, and there were prizes. I was nominated for one, and I thought that I won. Apparently a guy named Greg won, and my manager was drunk and said the wrong name. It was really funny.

Tomorrow, more work. I think I will also try to move Naoko's TV. Wish me luck; it's huge.

Another week and still no job

I went to another interview this week. It went well, but I turned down the job. It was too much like a pyramid scheme to bother with it. However, I did like the company, and it seems like they do good things. If I ever have money to invest, I might look into them further.

I also did not get the job at UNO. I expected it, so I am not so upset. I have applied for 2 other positions at school, and Ivory (from the International Office) left me a message to call him. Hopefully he has heard of a new position opening up.

I was also promoted to bartender at Grisanti's, so I am making a lot more money. I hope a new job turns up. I will keep trying. ;-)

Yesterday I had a party at my apartment. A bunch of people came, and it was a lot of fun. Tomorrow Yuka and I are going to a party for my work. I am excited.

Finished my interview

Today I finally took my first interview. It was good, but I don't think I will get the job. The interviewer said that about 50 people had applied for the position, so I think there is not much of a chance. The typing test went well. The lady who gave me the test said that the office was looking for accuracy over speed. I took the test twice, and the first time I made 5 mistakes and typed about 33 wpm. The second time I made 0 mistakes and a speed of 35 wpm. A different person interviewed me and told me the office was probably looking for someone with a speed of 40 or 50. Oh well... She also told me to apply for another position that is offered. I have already applied for that one, so hopefully....

I also helped Naoko fill out an application. I think the company she is applying for should hire me. I have written almost everything by myself: application, essay questions, resume. I even helped her research the company and prepared her for the interview. She really annoys me. She can't do anything by herself, and asks me for help with everything. Then she just makes fun of everything. She is very self-centered and I don't think anyone realizes it.

Today I also recieved a call from a representative of Citigroup Financial. He does hiring for the firm, and he said that there are several positions open. I will interview with them on Wednesday, and after, there is a tour of their facilities. It is a fairly big company, and I think it would be interesting to work there.

Good News!!!

On Monday, I have a job interview. I can't wait. I think I will do pretty well, but there is a typing test. I type ok, but I have never taken a test before. I also type a lot slower on different keyboards until I get used to them. Hopefully everything will go ok. Other good news I have is that I am now bartending at Grisanti's. It pays a lot more ($6.50 instead of $2.13) so even if I dont get the new job, I am making more money.

Last night I went to The Max with Yuka, Heath, and Yuki. It was tons of fun. I have never been there, but everyone had a good time. I have never seen so many gay people (and gay porn). I even met the owner. Today, I didn't really do anything but work. Tomorrow, I think I will play raquetball and go to my parents.

See you all later.

Went Shopping Today

Today was kind of a long day, so I come home early. I don't think I will go out tonight. This morning, Yuka and I woke up, and we went to a small cafe next to my parents house. The place is about 50 years old, and has been run by the same family the whole time. I the owners' daughter today. Her name is Jeanie, and we used to go to school together. I went to highschool with her cousin, and I used to work with her other cousin, so I know the family pretty well.

Yuka and I ate a good breakfast, and then we went shopping for a computer. When she came back from Japan, she turned on the computer, and there was a small explosion. After that, the computer was FUBR. Today, we looked for one. At first we couldn't find one that was cheap enough, so we returned to Yuka's apartment. We went out again, and bought a Compaq for about $320 after rebates. After that, Michi and I set everything up, but the internet took a long time to start.

Later, I came home and looked for jobs. I e-mailed resumes for 4 different positions. I hope that I get a reply soon. I am running out of money, so I need to be careful about what I spend.

What's Up, Y'all

Yuka is back now, so I have been hanging out with her a lot recently. We went out tonight. It was a lot of fun. Yuka, Takashi, and I met Isuzu, and we went to a Korean restaurant. I had bulgogi, which is just a bunch of grilled meat. Later we went to Sushi Blue, which is a great restaurant. We just went there to drink, and Yuka and I shared a giant martini, called a Fishbowl. Michi ordered two plates of sushi (I ate a bunch of pieces), and he ate a whole scoop of wasabi. I couldn't believe it. Later, when he was eating the sushi, he picked the wasabi out of the soy sauce. He said that he doesnt really like wasabi. hehe.

Now I am waiting for everybody to show up here and watching Dave Chappelle. They should be bringing some drinks. yay!!!
