IHOP - restaurant of champions

Yesterday I went out to eat with Yuka. We had a coupon for a free meal at IHOP, so we went. It's not the classiest restaurant, but it was still good (plus one of the plates was free...). During the day, I had to work. Afterwards, Yuka needed to go to an AA meeting for class. I guess she needs to observe a few meetings for her Addiction and Violence class. She said that it was really interesting, and I think she wants to go again. Later, we came home for a little bit, then went out to eat. We finally got home at about 8:30. I read a book for a little while, then went to bed. Yuka needed to make cupcakes for her class (I think they were actually muffins, though...), so she was sorking on that.

Tonight I will see the new Jet Li movie, barring any unforseen event.

Hope I Win The Greek Raffle...

I had a long, lazy weekend. On Friday, I planned to go out drinking, but I ended up just taking a nap, then watching TV with Yuka. We finally ended up watching Kill Bill 1. She had never seen it before. I think she liked it, so we had a good time.

On Saturday, we were supposed to go out to a bunch of places in the morning, but we slept in too long. By the time we got up, it was already after 11, so we watched TV again. We finally left about 1:30 and went shopping. First, we went to Payless because I needed new work shoes (Yuka says I already have too many, but I don't....), then we went to Walmart. I hate that store. Everybody looks sooo trashy and they are slow and inconsiderate. There are always kids running around too. We were there for about an hour or so, then we decided to go to the Greek Festival.

The weather was really bad - it was cold, cloudy, and windy. To make it worse, the Festival was held on the river. We paid the 3 dollar admission price, then headed straight for the food vendors. We each got a Gyro (I love those!!) with fries, and we shared a salad. All-in-all, everything was really good. The only problem was that we had to eat out in the cold. When we finished, we stopped at the drink-tent for a coffee for me and hot-chocolate for Yuka. Her drink tasted a little strange, but mine was good. We were so cold that we left early, but we stopped and looked at the rest of the booths on the way back to the car.

After that, we went home and eventually took another nap. I woke up about 8:30 and watched some more TV. I went to bed about 2:30 - 3:00 in the morning, but my neighbors kept opening and shutting their garage door. I don't know why, but it made the whole bed shake, and I couldn't fall asleep.

The next day, I had to work in the morning. It was kind of busy, and I finished about 3:30 or 4:00. I was planning on seeing the new Jet Li movie with Yuka, but when I got home, she wasn't there. I started watching TV, but then I fell asleep. I woke up at about 7:30 and she still wasn't home, so I called her cell. I guess she was at the Westroads. It was too late to see the movie, so I went to Hy-Vee instead.

That was my whole weekend.... Pretty boring, huh?

Nothing to do.....

It's going pretty slow today, so far. Right now I am t work, and it seems like I have finished everything until this afternoon. Oh well.... It's Friday, so I can't complain. Yesterday I didn't do much except work. When I finished, I went home and drank some beer. I have no clue what I will do today, but I want to go out. I was thinking about going to club, but it might be cold and rainy if we have to wait outside. Maybe I will go to the Naughty Lounge or Murphy's tonight. The Old Market would be fun, too, but it's too crappy outside to walk everywhere.

I'll let you know how it goes......

Lost Dog

Nothing really exciting has happened to me since I last wrote, except that I finally used up the roll of tape on my desk. I got a new on and put it in the holder. That was kind of fun. ...Anyways....

Nothing really happened to me, but Yuka called me this morning. She has a little excitement. When she was walking to school, it was raining, and a dog started following her. She kept walking towards school, but it kept after her. It wasn't being mean, or anything, but it wanted to play. Yuka was worried that it would follow her all the way to school, and it might get hit by a car in Dodge St, so she called me, really panicked. She wanted to know what to do. I told her that she either needs to go home and call the Humane Society to take the dog, or continue going to school. She went back home and put the dog in the garage. When she did that, she noticed the tags. They were to a Vet that the dog usually went to. Well.... Yuka called the clinic, and they called the owner, and the owner called Yuka. I guess they finally came and picked up the dog about 30 minutes later. Yuka still missed one of her classes, but the dog got home safely.

Thats the whole story.....

I ate the Chicken!

Yesterday I got a lot of work done at my house. During the day, I had to work, but aftr 5 I was free. First, I went to the bank to make a car payment (less than 2 grand left on it!!!), then I went to Lowes to get mulch for my yard. They were having a sale, so I bought 3 giant bags for less than 10 bucks. When I was finally able to return home, Yuka was there, but she was a little upset because her boss was being a jackass. I asked her if she wanted to help me in the yard, and she said yes. We mowed, picked up sticks, and put down mulch around some trees and other places. After that, it was getting a little late, so I started the grill. Earlier in the day, I had marinated some chicken drumsticks in terayaki sauce. We put them on the grill, and then covered them with BBQ sauce, then ate. It was really pretty good, except that the chicken had a lot of gristle. At the end of the night, Yuka and I watched a movie.

All in all it wasn't too bad of a day.....

I don't know if I will write very much for the next 2 days, I will be working most of the time.

It's cold today.....

It's cold again today!! ....but at least it is sunny. I don't really mind it, as long as it's not really cold or snowy.

Yesterday I went to my old apartment to get some more stuff (I got a ton of crap) and clean. Seika is soooo dirty. I couldn't believe it. In the 2 weeks or so that I have been moved out, she trashed the entire apartment, especially the kitchen. There was grease and dirt and fried food stuck all over the stove. I have never seen it that dirty. Plus she must have dumped bacon grease down the drain because there was congeled grease clogging up the drain cover. I spent about 2 and 1/2 hours cleaning and packing stuff.

It looks like Seika left the big TV and stand there. I don't know how she is going to move it. It's too big for a car. Plus her bed and bathroom stuff is still in the apartment......Hopefully that will all be gone before long.

I was going to go with Yuka yesterday, but she wasn't feeling well. I let her stay home, and she took a bath and fell asleep. When Ambri came home, she said she was feeling bad, too; so she took a bath and went to bed as well.

I hope everything is going well.....

The rebirth of Craig's Page

The crunch-time at my work has ended, and I have a lot of free time again. I thought I'd re-start my blog. This will probably be the last time I re-start it - either I will keep it going for good or end it for good. No-one really reads it anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

Anyways.... Enough whining. It's time to get down to business.....

What's new in my life? Not much.... I moved to a new place - it's a duplex. It is really big, and comes with a yard. I like having all of the space, but now I need to mow the grass about once a week. My lease is up on my other apartment on October 1, but I am getting screwed into paying for a whole extra month because I was 2 days late on my 30 day notice.

I met my friend Hide (pronounced Hee-day) the other day. I didn't konw he was in Omaha. The last time I saw him was in December, 2003, in Tokyo. We went out for a looooong night of gyudon, drinking, karaoke, and more gyudon. It was a lot of fun. He used to go to UNO a long time ago, but he took several years off (I think he lost his Visa or something). Hopefully we will go out to the bars together sometime.....

Last Friday, I was sooo bored at work that I went through my Hotmail account and sorted all of my old received mail. Then I cleaned up all of my contacts. There was still no work for me to do, so I emailed about 20 - 30 people that I haven't talked to in years. So far I have only had 3 replies. Hopefully more people will get back to me......

OK. That is enough for my first time back. I will try to keep this blog up and running, but in the meantime I am going to start updating a lot of stuff - links, photos, my Facebook and MySpace profiles. It should keep me busy......

Let me know how you are doing.....
