Cool Days are back again!!!

Cool days are here again!!

So, I woke up this morning and it was raining. I wore a short sleave polo shirt to work today because it's Friday, but it was almost too cold. It has warmed up, but it is still not hot. I should have brought a jacket this morning.... or an umbrella.

Yesterday I didn't do much, except work. I worked in the morning, then went and paid for my car (only a year and a half to go!!!). Then I went to my ohter job. It was pretty slow, so I asked my boss if I could finish early. She said "We'll see...". It was so slow that she was able to cut me at about 7:30. I had a table that wouldn't leave, so I was still there until nine. Even leaving at 9:00 is early for me, though. I was happy. I went home, drank some beer and took a shower. I watched a little TV, then called Yuka and went to bed.

Today I will hang out with Yuka. If anyone wants to do something, give me a call....

The weather finally turned cool!

Finally cooled down!!

The weather finally got a little better for the first time in about a week. The temperature is only low 90's today, instead of low 100's. It is also kind of breezy and cloudy, so it feels great outside. I still haven't been able to go swimming at all this summer, except that one time with Takashi and the Double Yukas. I want to go, but it is usually too crowded (or I am busy)!

Yesterday I worked all day. I was kind of busy in the morning, but not really slammed. In the afternoon / evening, I worked at the restaurant. It was actually really busy for how hot it was. Mr. Grisanti was supposed to stop by and visit, so everyone was really nervous ('cause he's an A$$). I had a big party plus 2 or 3 other tables. I made about 50 or 60 dollars. Today, I have to do it all over again, except that I need to stop and make a car payment.

Oh yeah..... I forgot to tell everyone..... A while back I received a letter from the IRS saying that I qualify for a tax refund. I returned the card, saying: "great! Send it to me!" I finally got it yesterday, and do you know how much it was?

2 dollars...

2 DOLLARS!!!!!!

Thats it!!

I just started laughing.....

Back to work after a relaxing day!

I took the day off, yesterday, because I wasn't feeling well. ;-) I slept-in until about 10:00 in the morning, then I felt bad for not doing anything. I got up, took a shower, and ate breakfast. After my toast, I decided to clean my apartment. I cleaned everything in the kitchen and living room, including the floors. After that I ironed all of my clothes and picked up my bedroom. At about 2:00 I went to Yuka's apartment. We were planning on seeing a movie, so we went to AMC. We saw Pirates of the Caribean! It was pretty good, but I still like the first better. Later I took Yuka to a park (it was really hot!!) then dropped her off at Chie's place. After that, I just went home.

Last night when I was sleeping, I had the strangest dream. I cant remember it all, but I will explain what I do remember: I first dreamed that I was hanging out with Take-sensei (WTF!!??) and she needed to go to Japan. So we went (for some reason there was no plane ride... we just needed to go, and we were there). The first place I see in Japan is the kaikan, my old dorm, only this time it was all changed. The walls and floor were still old and dirty, but they had a bunch of new stuff. It seemed more like a resort than dorms. There was even a couple of tanning beds. Then I saw Mike-san, which I thought was a huge coincidence because he was there with me last time, and neither of us knew we were going to Japan. For some reason I needed to (or decided to) stay in the country for a long time. Oh yeah, ... Shinsaku was there, too.

That's all I really remember, but it was still strange. I think I might go to the strip club with the double Yukas this weekend. It should be fun.

Hot, Hot Heat in Omaha

Hot, Hot Heat here in Omaha!

It is hot outside. It has been this way for about a week. This weekend was so bad that I didn't want to do anything - just stay home and rest. However....

On Friday, I was supposed to meet Amy and Kelly, but they never called. Yuka and I ended up going to the piano bar by ourselves. That was good, because the place was soooo packed, we had to stand for 20 minutes before a table opened up. By the time we left, Yuka and I (especially Yuka!!) were really drunk.

On Saturday, we just lazed around the house. I washed clothes and picked up my apartment, and at about 7, we went grocery shopping. I bought a bunch of stuff, and made: Chicken fried steak, Mash potatoes w/ gravy, Corn on the cob, Cucumbers in vinegar. It was great!! Later I took Yuka back to her apartment.

The next day I had work in the morning. It was really slow, probably because of the heat. I didn't make a whole lot of money, but I wasn't able to finish early, either. After that, I went home and played on the computer for about an hour or two, then went to Yuka's. We were planning on going to a BBQ later that night.

The party started at about 7:30 at Cunningham Lake (which is a giant, dry lake!!). There were a ton of people there, and we played catch and lacross. Lacross was much more difficult than I thought it would be. It was sooo hot that I was sweating just sitting in the grass. Porbably 95 degrees at 8:30 in the evening. We ended up eating a bunch of BBQ ribs. In the end, it was a fun night...even with the heat.

Busy, Busy, Busy (just like a bee!)

Hisashiburi!!!

I know I haven't written in about a week, but I was busy. At the office, one of my co-workers is on vacation and I am covering for her. So... not only do I have my own job (which was extremely busy), but I have her work to do also.... Plus I had a meeting all day on Wednesday, so I spent the next day trying to catch up. Other than work I haven't really done anything. Monday - work and hang out with Yuka, Tuesday - work / Yuka, Wednesday - work & work and Thursday - work & work. Nothin' exciting. This weekend Yuka and I are going to the piano bar with Amy and Kelly (that's the plan, anyway...) It should be a great time.

After a REALLY uneventful weekend

Hello....

This weekend I didn't do much. I didn't do anthing that I planned, but it was still nice to relax a little. Friday, I went to Yuka's apartment for a little bit and met Kana. I haven't seen her in about 2 months. She looked good. After that, I went home and took a nap. I was hoping to go to the club with Yuka, but my roommate said that there was a going away party for Megumi. She is going back to Japan. It is kind of sad because I have known her for several years. The party was at Old Chicago, and tons of people showed up. It was easy to see how popular Megu is.

I woke up early Saturday morning because Yuka and I, along with Chie and Ambry, went to view a house. It is really nice, and I think everyone wants to rent that one. It is a 2 story duplex with huge bedrooms. The kitchen is fairly big and everything is really nice. There is even a hidden room.

Because of the party the night before, we planned on going to the club on Saturday, but there was too much drama to really do anything. I went to Yuka's apartment and helped Kana put together a giant desk. Yuka made omu - rice, and later I went home.

I was supposed to work on Sunday morning, but it was really slow, so they sent me home after about an hour and a half. I was planning on watching Pirates, but Yuka wasn't feeling well, so we stayed home. Later there was some more drama, but it is resolved now (hopefully).

My leg is really stiff (Yuka's fault for kickin' my a$$)

I am soooo full. Yesterday I didn't eat anything, except 3 tiny hamburgers. All day... When I finished work at night, I was realy hungry, but the feeling went away after I got home. This morning I was soooo hungry by 10:30 that I bought a sandwich (egg-salad) from the convenience store, and had lunch early. At about noon, my boss showed up. She brought salads for everyone. Two giant coolers full of lettuce, spinach, dressing, and about 20 different toppings. I ate 2 gigantic plates full. Then at 1:00, I played raquette ball with Yuka. She is getting really good, and now my calf muscle is completely stiff. It feels like it might break open like an egg.

Yesterday I didn't do much, except work. I finished at the restaurant kind of late - after 10, then came home. I went to bed kind of late - after 11, and now I am really tired. I made pretty good money, though. Today I work all day, again. Hopefully I will make the same amount (or finish early......).

Kana will be here at about 2:00 tomorrow....

Enjoying the nice weather!!

Happy (late) 4th of July everyone!!!

Today is actually Wednesday, the 5th, and I won't really do anything all day.... except work, that is..... I guess I haven't really done very much recently. On Friday, I went with Yuka to the Upstream. It is a great bar, with great beer. They also have a really nice (and big!) pool room, as well as a big patio. The patio is where we spent all of our time. It is actually on the rooftop. On Saturday, I cleaned my apartment. That was about it. I guess that I watched a movie, too. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It was a pretty good flick.

Sunday morning I worked, then I picked Yuka up and we went to see Click. It was an OK movie. Kind of funny, but not that great. On Monday, I worked again - at a different job this time - then I picked Yuka up again. It was her last day of work at the nursing home, so she was kind of late. I was feeling kind of sick by the time we got home, so I took a loooooong nap. Later we rented a two movies, 16 Blocks (not vey good, but it kept my attention) & Nobody Knows (a very interesting Japanese drama about a group of homeless kids). On Tuesday, the 4th, we did nothing. I relaxed all day, while Yuka did homework. Later we went for a walk, then grilled burgers. I forgot that we were out of bread, so we had to eat them on a plate. Oh well, they still weren't too bad.

I hope everyone had a great holiday, I know I did!!

P.S. Kana comes back later this week.
